Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences is conducting an Entrance Examination on 28-07-2024 for selecton of candidates for admission into B.Sc. Medical Technology and Degree/ Diploma in Paramedical courses in both the Govt. and Private Institutes of Assam for the session 2024. Online Application Forms shall be available on University website from 28-05-2024 to 28-06-2024 The online application form must be filled up after carefully going through the instructions given along with the form.

The requisite entrance examination fee (non-refundable) shall have to be paid by the candidates only in online mode through the payment gateway available in the University website (Fee Collect). The details of categories of fee are available in the University website along with other details of examination. However, the confirmation of payment in the application portal will be available after 72 hours of successful payment.

The Entrance Test Date: 28-07-2024

Centers: Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Kokrajhar and Lakhimpur. However, finalizaton of examination centre will depend on the number of applicants applying for respective examination centres for appearing in the examination.

Admit Cards will be available online at www.ssuhs.in from 16-07-2024 which can be downloaded after log in.

Candidates are strictly advised to keep record of the Application Number and Password used by them while submitting the online form, without which they will not be able to download Admit Cards.

Conclusions:

1. The Entrance Examination shall be held on 28th July, 2024 (From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM)

2. There shall be 1 (one) paper consisting of 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English.

3. Questions will be of HS (10+2) Science standard.

4. Distribution of marks will be: Biology – 25 marks, Physics – 25 marks, Chemistry 25 marks & English – 25 marks.

5. Merit shall be prepared based on the total marks obtained by each candidate in all the subjects i.e. Biology, Physics, Chemistry & English. The marks obtained by each candidate in each subject shall also be shown in the said list.

If two or more candidates secure the same marks in the Entrance Examination, the inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows:

a. Candidate securing more marks in Biology in Entrance Examination.

b. Candidates securing more marks in Chemistry in Entrance Examination.

c. Candidates securing more marks in Physics in Entrance Examination

d. Candidates securing more marks in English in Entrance Examination.

e. If it further tallies, then marks obtained in Biology, then Chemistry, then Physics, then English of qualifying examination shall be considered at the time of counselling.

6. The minimum qualifying criteria/ cut off score in the Entrance Examination for admission into B.Sc. Medical Technology and Degree/ Diploma in Paramedical Courses will be notified by the competent authority in due course.

The eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance test and for admission into B.Sc. Medical Technology and Degree/ Diploma in Paramedical Courses are as follows:

1. Applicant must be a citizen of India.

2. Be a Permanent Resident of Assam for admission into Govt. Institutes and must furnish a Certificate to this effect for admission into Govt. Institutes. The provision of Permanent Resident Certificate shall not be applicable to the Sons/Daughters of the employees of the Govt. of Assam.

3. The minimum qualification for selection of the candidates is H.S.S.L.C (Science) (10+2) (in the year 2023 or earlier) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 45% marks in case of General Candidates and 40% for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P) and ST(H) candidates.

4. Candidate must be a minimum of 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.

B. Reservation of seat: There shall be reservation of seats for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/TGL/Ex-TGL/EWS/PwD (Divyang) category from the available seats as per Govt norms.

The distribution and reservation of seats including admission in the Govt. Institutions will be notified by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam in due course of time. For B.Sc. Medical Technology courses, SSUHS shall notify in due course of time.
